Hello, everyone! Today was my 7th day on The Master Cleanse! I have my weight loss results and I'm even more amped for week 2! I have lost a total of 11 lbs and 4.25 inches off my body this week! Yesterday was probably the hardest of the days because I had to work 16 hours (3pm - 7am). I brought all of my equipment and supplies, since you are not supposed to pre-make anything, due to oxidization and the loss of its nutrients and power. Luckily I work at a group home so, I was able to set all this up in the kitchen, but most of you do not have this convenience while at work. So that is why, in this post, I will provide you with options on how to successfully cleanse on the go.
First of all, if there is no way around making your lemonade as you need it at work, etc. Then this is what you can do: juice the lemon and bottle the amount of lemon juice and grade B maple syrup you will need for the time you're away from home, together. The maple syrup will act as a preservative to the lemon juice to prevent the oxidization and break-down of it's nutrients. Only bottle these two ingredients together, and nothing else, in a dark container, such as a thermos. You will need to add your filtered water and cayenne pepper once you're ready to drink it. Adding the cayenne pepper to these two ingredients ahead of time will create a "steeping" effect and will create an incredibly spicy mixture. If you are on this cleanse already, then you will know that this lemonade mixture is not spicy at all and the 1/10 tsp of cayenne pepper added to each serving is barely noticeable, if at all. Adding the water ahead of time will definitely break down the ingredients (within 10 minutes), leaving you with a pointless mixture of lemonade (pertaining to this cleanse).
Here are a few other options for a Master Cleanser on the go:
I'm back again with this month's Must-Haves! A couple of these have not come out yet, so I have the release dates next to them. Maybe this will give you a head start on birthday gift ideas or for yourself! Here is:
Hello, everyone! Today is my fifth day on the Master Cleanse!
I am now completely free of hunger and cravings. The hours of sleep my body requires has cut down tremendously! I used to need an average of 10 hours of sleep a night! Now I have been perfectly rested with only 7! Thanks to the internal salt water bath, I have 6 to 8 eliminations per day and they are all in the first hour and a half from drinking the salt water, so I am able to go about the rest of my day just fine. Besides the 6 servings of lemonade, I also drink 2 to 3 servings of filtered water everyday.
My readers do not know this, but I have Lupus of the joints. Almost every single joint in my body is affected by this auto-immune disease. Inflammation makes this insanely worse, and inflammation is due to toxins! I was not expecting this during my first cleanse, but my joints are not stiff anymore! I have more flexibility in my knees and hips. The pain went from a 10 to a 3! I haven't felt this good and mobile in years! I am only 27 but I have had Lupus for 10 years now. I couldn't get up and down stairs or even up from sitting, without help. I have always been athletic and I enjoy outdoor activities, dancing, exercise, etc. I finally feel like I can do these things again!
When reading my post on Day 3, you may be left with some questions if you have a special condition. Such as: fibromyalgia, diabetes, certain medications, etc. It is recommended that you read this book:
This book will list which conditions should be cleansed with special care and how. If you think your physical condition may be serious enough that the original Master Cleanse would not be safe for you, PLEASE READ THIS BOOK FIRST! This book was written by the creator of the Master Cleanse and has decades and decades of experience from patients to draw from. Stanley Burroughs was the mentor of Tom Woloshyn, the author of the book: The Complete Master Cleanse: A Step-by-Step Guide to Maximizing the Benefits of The Lemonade Diet.
As some people may know, one of my favorite genres of novels are Paranormal. Vampires, Shapeshifters, Fae, Nephilim, Angels, Demons, etc. I have picked the top 3 Young Adult vampire series that I have read so far and would like to know if any of you have read them, and if so, what did you think? Which series was your favorite? Have you read a better YA Vamp series than these 3? If so, what is it? I love stumbling upon new & exciting fantasy/paranormal novels! So please leave your suggestions in the comments below!
Here are my Top 3:
Written by: Richelle Mead. This is a finished series containing 6 novels: Vampire Academy, Frostbite, Shadow Kiss, Blood Promise, Spirit Bound, and Last Sacrifice.
Synopsis: "St. Vladimir's Academy isn't just any boarding school–it's a hidden place where vampires are educated in the ways of magic and half-human teens train to protect them. Rose Hathaway is a Dhampir, a bodyguard for her best friend Lissa, a Moroi Vampire Princess. They've been on the run, but now they're being dragged back to St. Vladimir's–the very place where they're most in danger. Rose and Lissa become enmeshed in forbidden romance, the Academy's ruthless social scene, and unspeakable nighttime rituals. But they must be careful lest the Strigoi–the world's fiercest and most dangerous vampires–make Lissa one of them forever," (PenguinGroup.com, 2012).
This series also includes a spin-off, which I have yet to read! Bloodlines is a continuation of a few lovable supporting characters from the original series. The second book of this series, The Golden Lily, will be released June 19! I can't wait to get started on them!
Written by: Stephenie Meyer. This is a finished series containing 4 novels: Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn.
Synopsis: "Isabella Swan's move to Forks, a perpetually rainy town in Washington, could have been the most boring move she ever made. When she meets the mysterious, alluring Edward Cullen--a vampire--her life takes a thrilling and terrifying romantic turn," (Amazon.com, 2012).
As you know, this series has been created into movies featuring Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner. In my opinion, I don't think they could have done any better picking the whole entire cast! If you love these movies, you'll be crazy in love with the books!
House of Night
Written by: P.C. Cast & Kristin Cast (mother & daughter). This one seems to be a finished series, but may very well continue. This series contains 9 novels: Marked, Betrayed, Chosen, Untamed, Hunted, Tempted, Burned, Awakened, and Destined.
Synopsis: "After a Vampire Tracker Marks her with a crescent moon on her forehead, 16-year-old Zoey Redbird enters the House of Night and learns that she is no average fledgling. She has been Marked as special by the vampyre Goddess Nyx and has affinities for all five elements: Air, Fire Water, Earth and Spirit. But she is not the only fledgling at the House of Night with special powers. When she discovers that the leader of the Dark Daughters, the school’s most elite club, is mis-using her Goddess-given gifts, Zoey must look deep within herself for the courage to embrace her destiny – with a little help from her new vampyre friends (or Nerd Herd, as Aphrodite calls them)," (HouseOfNightSeries.com, 2012).
This series also contains 2 novellas, which I have yet to read: Dragon's Oath and Lenobia's Vow. These two novellas are the backstory to two of the professors at the House of Night. I have read the synopsis to these and I can't wait to read them!
Now it's time to vote!
I posted a poll that will be up until March 15th. It is located in the right column. Vote for which one you think is the best and I'll post the results next week! Leave any comments you'd like under this blog- And don't forget to subscribe!
I am now on Day 3 of The Master Cleanse! I have cheated and weighed myself already instead of waiting 7 days. I was just too excited to see how fast it works! And guess what?? I already lost 8 lbs!! I know, I know, the weight loss in the first few days is just water weight, but I still got excited to see that lower number!
I'm doing much better with drinking the salt water in the morning and not cringing! Day 1, I drank the internal salt water bath in 50 agonizing minutes! Day 2, I managed to cut that in half! Today, I had to up the salinity because I felt like I was absorbing way more of the water than was flushing through me (this is a suggestion from Tom Woloshyn's book). Instead of 2 tsp, I added an extra teaspoon to make it a full tablespoon. It took me 30 minutes to drink the salt water today, due to typing this post as I sipped.
This cleanse does not leave you hungry, but I did have some cravings! Day 1, I was feinin' for some cookies and Day 2 I wanted to eat straight sour cream!
I've been doing the minimum of 6 servings of lemonade a day. First of all, it says in the book, The Complete Master Cleanse: A Step-by-Step Guide to Maximizing the Benefits of The Lemonade Diet by Tom Woloshyn, that if you are interested in losing weight while on the cleanse, then you should do 6 servings of lemonade per day (due to the maple syrup). Plus, you can also cut the amount of maple syrup in half to only 1 tbsp, per serving, if it is too sweet for you or you are focused on losing weight. I am choosing to have only half the amount of maple syrup per serving (1 tablespoon, instead of 2) and the minimum amount of lemonade servings per day (6 servings, from an allowed 6-12 glasses). Besides to lose weight, I had found that the full amount of maple syrup, per serving, was way too sweet for me; then I just wasn't hungry enough to have more than 6 servings of lemonade per day. So it worked out :-)
Here are just a few of the benefits due to internal salt water baths and the ingredients in the Master Cleanse lemonade:

"They keep an extremely low profile compared to others in the zodiac. They are honest, unselfish, trustworthy and often have quiet dispositions. They can be overcautious and sometimes gullible. These qualities can cause the Pisces to be taken advantage of, which is unfortunate as this sign is beautifully gentle, and generous. In the end, however, the Pisces is often the victor of ill circumstance because of his/her intense determination. They become passionately devoted to a cause – particularly if they are championing for friends or family," (Whats-Your-Sign.com, 2012).
